5-Year Shelf Life
The US military has selected Micropur tablets to replace iodine tablets in soldier first aid kits. Micropur has safety benefits over iodine tablets and are the only purification tablet technology that meets the U.S. EPA safety guidelines. Evidently, even in dirty water conditions, Micropur MP1 tablets eliminate bacteria, cysts and viruses from virtually any water situation. Another improvement is that each Micropur tablet is individually wrapped and has a shelf life in excess of 5 years. Soldiers appreciate that Micropur has no unpleasant taste and can actually improve the taste of drinking water.
DIRECTIONS TO USE
This product is recommended for disinfecting raw or pre-treated water supplies intended for use as drinking water for humans.The source of water to be treated may be a river, lake, well, cistern, or similar system at temperature as low as 4º C. Prior to addition of sanitizer, remove all suspended material by filtration or by allowing it to settle to the bottom. Decant the clarified, contaminated water to a clean container before adding sanitizer. Add one tablet to 1 litre of clear, room temperature (20˚ C) water free of organic debris. For dirty, cloudy, stained and/or cold (4˚ C) water, double dosage to two tablets. Mix well for at least 10 minutes, leave to stand for 30 minutes with clear water or 4 hours with dirty water before drinking.
